On Thursday, for the seventh time this year, in the International Football Federation Association (FIFA) world team ranking announced Lithuania's national team of eleven players with 321 points per month regained one position: from the 105th place rose to the 104th position.

Over the course of four weeks, the Lithuanian team lost 9 points.

Three out of five opponents in the 2014 World Cup European zone qualifying group surpass Lithuania in the classification. Greece (1038 points) moved up to the 11th place from the 16th, Bosnia and Herzegovina (995 points) moved up to the 14th position from 15th, and Slovakia (542 points) dropped to the 63rd place from the 56th.

Lithuania's team in the ranking surpasses Latvia (280 points) retaining the 119th place and Liechtenstein (173 points) which moved up to the 148th position from the 158th.

Estonia's (423 points) football team, the highest of the Baltic states, moved up to the 86th place from the 89th.

The FIFA ranking continues to be topped by the world and European champions Spain (1532 points), ahead of World Cup bronze medalists Germany (1273 points) and Colombia (1206 points) in third place.

European vice-champion Italy (1142 points) moved up to the 6th position from the 8th, while Brazil (1095 points), the hosts of the 2014 World Cup and three-time winners of the Confederations Cup, jumped from 22nd to 9th.
