In front of 13,000 fans at the new Darius and Girėnas Stadium, Vilnius "Žalgiris" won the Lithuanian Football Cup (LFF) final against Kaunas district team "Hegelmann" with a score of 2:1 after extra time.

The first goal of the match came in the 76th minute. After a corner kick, Marko Miličkovičius was the first to reach the loose ball and with a powerful shot left no chance for the opponents' goalkeeper.

However, the Kaunas team struck back in the last seconds of added time. In the 90+3 minute, Samuel Odeoibo scored the goal.

The match went into extra time, during which Vilnius "Žalgiris" proved their superiority. The winning goal in the final came from a long-range shot outside the penalty area by Mario Paveličius.

"Žalgiris" won their 14th LFF Cup trophy in the club's history. Meanwhile, it was the first final for "Helgemann" in the history of this tournament.
