Yesterday the first semi-final match of the Asian Championship was played, and today the second finalist was also determined. It will be a rematch between South Korea and Australia, who competed in Group A matches.
The Koreans defeated the Iraqi footballers with a score of 2-0 in the drawn match. Uli Stielike's team was distinguished by Jung-Hyub Lee and Young-Gwon Kim. It is worth mentioning that both goals came from set pieces.
In the second semi-final match, the Australians also won with the same score, eliminating the United Arab Emirates, the defending champions who previously defeated Japan. The hosts of the championship also fought for victory only after a tough battle, with their ticket to the final secured by Trent Sainsbury and Jason Davidson's goals.
The final will take place on January 31st. The group match between Australia and South Korea ended with a minimal victory for the Koreans.
