In the first King's Cup Round of 16 match - "Atletico" victory against "Real" (VIDEO)

On Wednesday evening, the first four King's Cup quarter-final matches were played in Spain.
"Vicente Calderon" stadium hosted the Madrid derby, where "Atletico" faced "Real". In the second half, Diego Simeone's team showed advantage over Carlo Ancelotti's players and secured a 2-0 victory.
The first half started with the dominance of the "Whites" and ball control, but D. Simeone's well-organized defense played reliably and neutralized all possible dangers.
The next 45 minutes were significantly different, and "Atletico" demonstrated their game, although "Real" continued to have the initiative. In the 58th minute, Sergio Ramos clearly fouled Raul Garcia in the penalty area, and the same R. Garcia scored from the penalty spot, putting "Rojiblancos" in the lead.
After the goal, C. Ancelotti immediately sent one of the team leaders, Cristiano Ronaldo, onto the field, and later Dani Carvajal and Jese also appeared.
However, this did not help to equalize the score, and the painful second goal was scored by young Jose Maria Gimenez in the 76th minute, with "Atletico" leading the UEFA Champions League winners for the third consecutive time.
The return match between the Madrid teams will take place on January 15th at the "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium.
In other matches, "Villarreal" also achieved victory, narrowly defeating San Sebastian's "Real Sociedad". "Valencia" defeated Barcelona's "Espanyol" in their own field, while the match between "Almeria" and "Getafe" ended in a draw.
