Today there was a clash in the Baltic Youth Football League (BYFL) between the players of the Riga Football School and Kaunas "BE1 NFA". The last 15-year-old team remaining in the tournament from Lithuania delighted their fans with a 2:1 victory.
From the very beginning of the match, "BE1 NFA" with their active play caused mistakes by the hosts' defenders and turned their mistakes into goals. Arnas Rudžionis sent the ball into the net in the 3rd minute, and just two minutes later the "RFS" goalkeeper had to pull the ball out of the goal after Tom Gutauskas's shot.
Riga managed to narrow the gap in the 25th minute when Nikita Doroninas finished the attack on the right side with a goal.
However, the spectators did not see more goals in this intense duel, so the semi-final series will move to Kaunas. "BE1 NFA" and "RFS" will prepare for the return match on June 7 at the LFF Kaunas Training Center Stadium. Like all BYFL matches held in Lithuania, the match will be broadcast live on the futbolas.tv platform.
In the next BYFL U15 division semi-final, FS "Metta" and SK "Super Nova" from Latvia will meet on June 1 and 7.
