In the French Cup PSG defeated "Monaco", and "Saint Etienne" - a third league club

On Tuesday, the quarterfinals of the French Cup began. In the first match, "Saint Etienne", fighting for a place in the UEFA Champions League, faced "Boulogne", which competes in the third division.

Despite the differences between these teams "on paper", a real battle was brewing on the field, and the favorites of the match almost missed out on advancing to the semifinals. The players of "Saint Etienne" conceded a penalty in the 79th minute but managed to equalize. Eventually, the team from "Ligue 1" triumphed after a penalty shootout.

On Wednesday, the second quarterfinal match took place, featuring "Paris Saint-Germain", who had faced "Monaco" in the national championship just a few days before. This time, the match ended goalless, but the players from the capital managed to break through Leonardo Jardim's team's defense.

This achievement was made possible by defender David Luiz and striker Edinson Cavani, with the final result of the match being 2-0.
