In the impactful duel between "Borussia" and "Monaco" - French victory (VIDEO)

At 19:45 Lithuanian time, yesterday's postponed quarter-final match of the UEFA Champions League took place.

Due to explosions that damaged the Borussia Dortmund club bus and injured Marc Bartra, the match was rescheduled to today. In a competitive duel, the hosts suffered a defeat as Monaco won 3-2.

In the 17th minute, Borussia was awarded a penalty kick, but the hosts were lucky as Fabinho missed the target from the penalty spot.

However, Monaco soon capitalized on a mistake by a teammate, and two minutes later Kylian Mbappe put the visitors ahead. The Frenchman was in an offside position, which the referee did not notice.

Borussia's troubles continued - in the 35th minute, Sven Bender unfortunately scored an own goal, and the visitors from France were leading 2-0.

In the second half, Thomas Tuchel decided to take a risk - he replaced two defenders with Christian Pulisic and Nuri Sahin. This paid off as BVB played more threateningly.

In the 57th minute, the hosts finally managed to score - Ousmane Dembele sent the ball into Monaco's net from a few meters away.

The dominant Borussia club made another big mistake in the 79th minute - the "black and yellows" defender passed the ball to K. Mbappe, who once again beat the opponents' goalkeeper with a great run.

However, the hosts were not willing to give up and in the 84th minute, Shinji Kagawa, after dribbling past a defender, narrowed the team's deficit to one goal.

In the remaining time, Borussia tried to equalize and created several dangerous opportunities, but Monaco successfully defended and the match ended with a 3-2 victory for the visitors.
