"Valencia" team cannot achieve good results this season on any front.
Marcelino's "bats" suffered a loss in the first leg of the King's Cup quarterfinals. "Valencia" had to admit defeat with a score of 1:2 against "Sporting Gijon" playing in the second division of the country.
"Gijon" took the lead in the 34th minute, but Dani Parejo managed to equalize the score at the end of the first half.
It seemed that the goal would give the visitors more confidence in the second half, but the second goal was scored not by them, but by the opponents. In the 79th minute, Nick Blackman, who had just come on as a substitute, led the hosts to victory.
The second leg will take place in Valencia on January 15th.
