Today (Thursday) in the Lithuanian Football Federation, the Appeals Licensing Committee meeting took place to discuss the appeals of clubs that did not receive licenses in the first stage of decision-making, announces the LFF press release.
In the first stage, licenses were granted to Panevėžio "Ekranas", "Kaunas", Marijampolės "Sūduva", "Šiauliai", "Vilnius", and Vilnius "Vėtra", so six clubs had already officially received their places in the "A lyga" championship, and the question arose for four others, with the Kėdainiai "Nevėžis" being the only uncertainty about participation in the top league.
The LFF Appeals Licensing Committee, after evaluating additional or revised documentation from football clubs and ensuring that the mandatory requirements set out in the LFF football club licensing rules are met, decided to amend the decision of March 15, 2005, granting licenses to Klaipėda, Kėdainiai "Nevėžis", and Vilnius.
The LFF reminds that these licenses granted give clubs the right to participate in the 2005/2006 season UEFA-organized competitions and the 2005 NFKA "A lyga" starting on April 12.
