The French newspaper "L'Equipe" announced its symbolic World Cup eleven.
"L'Equipe" awards points to each player after each match, so the eleven is based on the average points awarded during the championship.
Surprisingly, there is only one French player in the symbolic eleven, Kylian Mbappe. However, the average rating of the French leader is the highest of all players - 7.17.
Among the stars of the World Cup is Bukayo Saka, who left the tournament in the quarterfinals with a rating of 6.50.
The French newspaper, known for its strict ratings, also included three Moroccan players in the eleven: Achraf Hakimi, Romain Saiss, and Sofyan Amrabat.
Despite the fact that Argentine goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez won the "Golden Glove", it was Croatia's goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic who made it into the symbolic eleven.
