At 19:30 Lithuanian time, the eighth round match of the English Premier League took place. At the "Emirates" stadium, two London teams - Arsenal and Chelsea - met. In the first half, the Gunners played like they were on fire and crushed Antonio Conte's team with a score of 3-0. From the very beginning of the match, Arsenal actively pressed their opponents in their half and in the 3rd minute dangerously struck from about 18 meters through Santi Cazorla. However, Thibaut Courtois responded to the Spaniard's shot. The fans at the Emirates stadium didn't have to wait long for the first goal - in the 11th minute, after a mistake by Gary Cahill, Alexis Sanchez released the ball past the goalkeeper and put the hosts in the lead. The Gunners didn't intend to stop at just one goal and in the 14th minute, Chelsea was sent reeling. Hector Bellerin delivered a precise pass to Theo Walcott in the penalty area, who only had to direct the ball into the opponent's goal. In the 22nd minute, Willian was close to scoring the first goal for Chelsea, but his shot flew past the goal. In the 40th minute, Mesut Ozil hit the mark - after a high pass from A. Sanchez, the German striker took a shot and sent the third goal into the "Blues" team's goal. In the second half, no more goals were scored, but Arsenal was just as active. In the 68th minute, T. Courtois reacted to T. Walcott's shot. In the 83rd minute, Michy Batshuayi had a great opportunity to score a consolation goal after coming on as a substitute. The Belgian ran forward with the ball, but he couldn't outsmart the experienced Petr Cech. With the victory, Arsenal rose to third place with 13 points, alongside Liverpool and Everton.
