In the Manchester derby - Ederson's mistakes and "Man Utd" victory

On Sunday evening, the main matches of the 29th round of the English Premier League were played at Old Trafford stadium. Two Manchester clubs - Man Utd and Man City - clashed their weapons together. The "Red Devils" dominated in the first half, surpassing Pep Guardiola's team for the third time this season - 2:0. In the first 15 minutes, Man City's team looked promising, but then the control shifted to the hands of Man Utd players. In the 30th minute, Bruno Fernandes caught the unprepared opponents during a set piece and made a cunning pass to the penalty area, where Anthony Martial successfully stopped the ball and defeated an uncertain Ederson with a shot to the near corner. Even after the goal, Man Utd's dominance continued, causing serious problems for Man City defenders. The second half belonged to the visitors from the Etihad fortress. In the very beginning, the score briefly became equal, but after a VAR review, Sergio Aguero's goal was disallowed. In the final minutes of the match, Man City launched an attack on David De Gea's goal, but all hopes were dashed by Ederson's mistake. The goalkeeper, leaving his goal, made a too strong pass with his hand, and Scott McTominay, the first to rush to the ball from about 35 meters away, struck the final nail into the opponent's coffin. After the victory, Man Utd returned to the fifth position, while Man City, with 57 points, remains in second place. Result: Man Utd 2 - 0 Man City 30' [1 - 0] A. Martial 90+6' [2 - 0] S. McTominay
