Using counterattacks, "Manchester City" punished "The Red Devils" and took three points from the "Etihad" stadium, with the "citizens" suffering their fourth defeat of the season.

The match start resembled a battle for the last piece of water – both teams did not think about defense and chased a quick goal from the beginning. "Man City" looked aggressive in their positional play, but "Man Utd" utilized their speed in counterattacks.

The bold attacking game from "Man Utd" soon paid off – in the 20th minute, a penalty was awarded to "Man City" when Bernardo Silva fouled Marcus Rashford in the penalty area. Rashford scored the penalty without error, giving the visitors a minimal lead.

The fairy tale for "Man Utd" continued – in the 29th minute, Anthony Martial scored the second goal, shocking the hosts.

In the second half, "The Red Devils" focused all their concentration on defense, and until the 85th minute, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could not say a bad word to his pupils.

The home fans at the "Etihad" stadium were given some hope after Nicolas Otamendi, who came on as a substitute, scored with a header from a corner. Despite continuous attacks from "Man City," "Man Utd" held firm and celebrated their second consecutive win against the first team in the standings.

Having suffered a second defeat in the last five matches, Pep Guardiola's boys are now 14 points behind the leader, "Liverpool."
