MLS league is strengthening as needed this summer. The league has been supplemented not only by a host of famous names, but also by the third most expensive MLS purchase of all time. Columbus Crew announced that they acquired Cucho Fernandez from Watford. The transfer fee of 11 million dollars made C. Fernandez the most expensive purchase in the history of the club and the third most expensive in the history of the American football league. The only more expensive purchases were those of Atlanta United - Ezequiel Barco from Independiente and Gonzalo Martinez from River Plate. C. Fernandez had his moments in the Premier League during the season, scoring 5 goals and providing 2 assists.
