Legendary English forward Wayne Rooney continues to prove his worth in the MLS league.
The 32-year-old striker scored a great penalty kick, and the goal secured a 1-0 victory for D.C. United against the "Toronto" team.
The win made it a bit easier for the team fighting for a spot in the playoffs - "D.C. United" is now four points clear from the challenging seventh place. The "Columbus Crew" team one point ahead.
W.Rooney also achieved a personal milestone - for the thirteenth season in a row in his career, he scored a two-digit number of goals.
Before the end of the regular MLS season, "D.C. United" has two more games to play.
