In the North London derby - "Tottenham" footballers triumph (VIDEO)

At 18:30 Lithuania time, the penultimate 35th match of the English Premier League took place.

At "White Hart Lane" stadium, two rival North London teams - Tottenham and Arsenal - met. Mauricio Pochettino's players scored two goals in the second half within two minutes against the Gunners and celebrated a 2-0 victory.

Tottenham started the match more actively, but the first real chance was created only in the 22nd minute. After Harry Kane's pass, which cleverly slipped past the opponent's legs, Dele Alli had a golden opportunity to put the hosts in front, but the Englishman could not accurately head the ball and it flew past the goal.

Soon after, Tottenham had another great chance to break the deadlock - a sprinting Heung-Min Son took a shot that Petr Cech saved, but the ball rebounded to Christian Eriksen, who couldn't make a precise shot.

In the 37th minute, Aaron Ramsey created the first dangerous chance near Hugo Lloris's goal, but the French goalkeeper reacted to the shot. At the end of the first half, Jan Vertonghen also took another dangerous shot within Tottenham's ranks.

In the second half, Tottenham settled all matters of the match in a few minutes. In the 55th minute, Dele Alli finally sent the ball into the net after a mix-up in Arsenal's penalty area. Soon after, the Spurs had a great chance to increase their advantage with an awarded penalty.

Harry Kane's foot did not tremble, and the precise penalty shot increased Tottenham's lead to 2-0. In the remaining time, the hosts had more great opportunities to score, but Petr Cech showed top-class goalkeeping.

Tottenham, in second place, maintains intrigue for the champions title - they are four points behind London rivals Chelsea. Arsenal remain in 6th position with 60 points.
