Another season of the Portuguese "Liga Zon Sagres" championship ended over the weekend.
"Porto" players, who secured the title of champions much earlier, defeated Funshal's "Maritimo" with a dry result of 0-2 in the final match of the season, finishing the season undefeated with just three draws.
Aside from the young Ande Villas-Boas' players, Lisbon's "Benfica" made it through to next year's UEFA Champions League tournament, remaining in second place in the league standings.
The teams who secured positions 3-6 earned spots in the Europa League, while "Portimonense" and Figeiros "Naval" dropped to the "Liga de Honra" league.
The top scorer of the championship with 23 goals was "Porto" striker Hulk, who recently extended his contract with the club.
