Despite Virgil van Dijk and Ryan Bertrand being chased by stronger Premier League clubs, they have become the main figures in presenting the new Southampton kit. In recent seasons, they have mainly sold their leaders to Liverpool, but the Saints have repeatedly stated that they do not intend to part ways with their defensive leaders. The ambitions of the club from Southern England are confirmed by the recent dismissal of head coach Claude Puel, despite leading the team to an eighth-place finish. They failed to achieve higher positions due to problems in attack, but the mentioned defenders had a great season. It's no wonder that van Dijk attracted interest from Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester City, while Bertrand also became a target for City. The kit that Southampton presented slightly differs from the one the team has been playing in for the past few years, as there are no longer stripes in the front. Under Armour created a design reminiscent of Ajax, with a wide white panel and red sleeves. The main sponsor of the club remains Virgin Media.
