On Thursday evening in Bergamo, a very dramatic Italian Cup quarterfinal took place, in which "Fiorentina" triumphed 3-2 against "Atalanta" as guests. The match began with a quick goal - already in the 9th minute from the penalty spot, Krzysztof Piatek was accurate. In the 30th minute, the hosts' defender Davide Zappacosta responded with a goal. At the start of the second half, "Atalanta" already took the lead after Jeremie Boga's goal. However, in the 71st minute, K. Piatek received another chance to step up to the penalty spot and although the Polish striker failed to score on his first attempt, the rebounded ball was already sent into the net. In the 79th minute, "Fiorentina" defender Lucas Martinez Quarta received a red card, but this did not prevent "Viola" from expanding the victory in extra time. The author of the winning goal was center-back Nikola Milenkovic in the 90+3rd minute. "Milan" and "Inter" teams have already advanced to the semifinals of the Italian Cup.
