On Tuesday evening, the first semi-final match of the English League Cup took place.
In the first leg, "Manchester United" hosted "Hull City" footballers. Jose Mourinho's team surpassed their opponents with a score of 2-0 and moved closer to reaching the final.
The "Red Devils" dominated the entire match with possession and created dangerous attacks. They failed to score in the first half, but in the following 45 minutes, the hosts managed to achieve their goal.
In the 56th minute, Juan Mata scored after a precise pass from Henrikh Mkhitaryan, beating the opponent's goalkeeper, and Marouane Fellaini secured the victory at the end of the match after appearing in the penalty area as a substitute.
The second leg will take place at "Hull City's" stronghold on January 26th.
