In the Senior (35+) championships, semifinal pairs were determined

In the senior (35+) championships of Lithuania, four teams have emerged that have reached the final stage of the competition and will compete for the titles and prizes.

The first stage of the championships was held based on zones. The championships of Aukštaitija zone were organized by the Utena County Football Federation, while the championships of Žemaitija zone were organized by the Lithuanian Mass Football Association.

As reported by UAFF.lt, it was only in the last matches that the winners of the zones were determined, with Panevėžys "Ekrano senjorai" futsal players becoming the champions.

The final stage of the championship saw an exciting clash of favorites in Group A. Here, the "Ekrano senjorai" defeated Vilnius "Aktas" team with a score of 3:2. Later, the Panevėžys team triumphed over "Briedis" from Širvintos with a score of 3:0, earning 15 points and becoming the champions.

The "Aktas" team also drew 2:2 with "Utenos Utena" and won the silver medals with 10 points. This means that the teams advancing to the final four are "Ekrano senjorai" and "Aktas".

In total, eight teams competed in the zone, including leaders and consolation groups.

The best players in the teams were recognized as Mindaugas Jakštas ("Ekrano senjorai"), Eimantas Ščerbakovas ("Briedis"), Andzejus Romeiko ("Aktas"), Dalius Drebulis ("Utenos Utena"), Mindaugas Morkūnas ("Vienybė"), Sergejus Androsiuk ("Inter-veteranai"), Alvaidas Vilūnas ("Anykščiai"), and Nerijus Stakus ("Narjantos seniukai").

Meanwhile, in the Žemaitija zone, four teams competed using a system of several rounds.

After playing the zone championships, it was revealed that the first place was won by Telšiai "Džiugo veteranai", the second place went to Šiauliai "Maseros" football players, who also advanced to the final four. The third place was taken by Tauragė "Tauras", and the fourth by Gargždai AMK "Veteranams".

Here, the best players of the teams were also selected.

Gargždai AMK "Veteranai" - V. Norvilas, Tauragė "Tauras" - V. Dragunevičius, Šiauliai "Masera" - R. Janušauskas, Telšiai "Džiugo veteranai" - M. Šluta.

The most prolific player of the championships was V. Viktoravičius (17 goals).

The final stage of the championships will take place on April 6th (Saturday) from 11 AM at the Lithuania Police School hall in Mastaičiai, Kaunas district. The semifinals will be held first, followed by the matches for third place and the grand final.
