"Real" Madrid and "Barcelona" clubs compete not only on the pitch, but also far beyond it. On Saturday, both clubs made every effort on their "Facebook" pages to be the first to reach 100 million "Like" clicks. Both teams have already surpassed this number, but this "social battle" received a slightly different kind of attention. "Real" club was the first to reach the 100 million "Like" clicks mark and temporarily was the only sports club with a record number of fans. It is reported that "Barcelona" club was sending private messages to their followers to help them reach 100 million fans and thus surpass the club from the Spanish capital. Nevertheless, "Real" enlisted the help of club legends and current players, who urged their followers to click the "Like" button on the official club page on their social media accounts. "Real" had slightly fewer followers on the same day than "Barcelona" on their "Facebook" page, but the UEFA Champions League winners managed to leave the Catalans behind them.
MARCA: Barca were sending pvt msgs to followers to beat Real Madrid with more Facebook likes but they managed 99.8 millon & couldn't.
