On Saturday afternoon, the first matches of the fourth round of the English Premier League were played.
"Southampton" welcomed "Manchester United" at home.
The first half was going well for the "Red Devils". Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's players dominated the field and already in the 10th minute took the lead - Daniel James scored the third goal of the season.
The second half went much better for the "Southampton" team. Unlike the first half, David De Gea had to pull the ball out of his net relatively quickly.
In the 58th minute, Jannik Vestergaard rose above Victor Lindelof and equalized with a powerful header.
The "Saints" did not celebrate the goal for long - in the 73rd minute, Kevin Danso received his second yellow card and the hosts had to play with ten men, which not only made it harder to get three points, but also increased the risk of losing.
However, strongly supported by their fans, the "Southampton" team held on for the remaining time and earned an important point - the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
The "Man Utd" team, who won in the first round, only managed to score two points in the last three matches.
