At 18:00 Lithuanian time, in the new season of the English "Premier" league, the ninth match of the first round took place.

One of the most anticipated matches of the round took place at Emirates Stadium, where London's "Arsenal" faced "Liverpool". In a seven-goal thriller, "Liverpool" celebrated victory with a 4-3 result after an intense battle.

From the very start of the match, both teams demonstrated impressive pace. There were no clear scoring opportunities in the first 30 minutes, but soon after, a penalty was awarded to "Liverpool" following some uncertain play by Alberto Moreno. Unfortunately, Theo Walcott's shot did not reach the back of the net, and Simon Mignolet played superbly in that episode.

However, T. Walcott quickly wanted to redeem himself after that incident and led the "Gunners" ahead within two minutes. "Liverpool" started to display a more aggressive game in the opponent's defense after conceding a goal and celebrated an equalizing goal at the end of the first half. Philippe Coutinho executed an incredible penalty shot from about 25 meters.

The second half started with even more intense football. Jurgen Klopp's side began the second half more successfully, as Adam Lallana scored a precise goal in the 49th minute to put the visitors in front.

After the second goal, "The Reds" gained even more confidence and initiated attack after attack. In the 56th minute, "Liverpool" extended their lead when, after a precise pass from Nathaniel Clyne, P. Coutinho once again outwitted Petr Čech.

"Liverpool's" domination continued - in the 63rd minute, after a wonderful sprint down the right flank by Sadio Mane, he scored an impressive goal that seemed decisive in the match.

However, the intrigue in the match was brought back by a goal from substitute Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and in the 75th minute after a set piece, Calum Chambers narrowed the deficit to just one goal.

Despite creating another opportunity to score, "Arsenal" failed to find the back of the net, and at the end of the match, the visitors from Liverpool could have scored a fifth goal.

After conceding a goal and sending four goals into the "Arsenal" net, "Liverpool" celebrated a 4-3 victory and rejoiced in the first 3 points of the season.
