In the 13th round of the Lithuanian A League football match on Sunday at the LFF Stadium in Vilnius, Marijampolė's "Sūduva" football players harshly punished the newcomer "Trakai" team. The hosts conceded two goals in the last ten minutes and lost an important match 3:4.
In the fatal blow to "Trakai" in the 92nd minute, Mindaugas Grigalevičius struck, finishing off the "Sūduva" attack with a shot from the penalty spot.
Before that, in the 83rd minute, he made an accurate pass to the Serbian Marko Andželkovičius, who scored without stopping the ball, leveling the score at 3:3.
"Sūduva" coach Darius Gvildys showed great intuition - both heroes of the match appeared on the field after the substitutions at the end of the game.
The first half did not promise a goal feast - "Trakai" responded to Toms Radzinevičius' goal in the 38th minute with a shot by Dzmitrijaus Koubo three minutes later.
Immediately after the break, "Trakai" player Darius Miceika scored twice - in the 56th and 63rd minutes he put his team ahead 2:1 and 3:2.
Between these goals, T. Radzinevičius scored his second goal in the 59th minute.
"Sūduva," with 20 points, rose to fourth place, while "Trakai," with 18 points, dropped to seventh place.
In other matches, Pakruojo "Kruoja" failed to take advantage of Klaipėda "Atlantas" defeat. They played a 2-2 draw with "Klaipėdos Granitas" at home.
