In the World Cup qualifier, Chile had a hard time, but in the end, they defeated Bolivia's footballers 3:2. The beginning of the match belonged to the Chileans. From that moment, Bolivia's footballers felt their game and before the end of the first half, they equalized the score. In the 37th minute, Marcas Enoumba sent the ball into the lower left corner of the goal after a corner kick with his head, leaving no chance for the opponent's goalkeeper Brayan Cortes. This goal gave the hosts more confidence and they created several dangerous opportunities to score their second goal. However, incredibly, in a few moments, Chile's goalkeeper Brayan Cortes maintained the equal score, while in other moments Bolivia's footballers lacked accuracy, and perhaps even the simplest luck. At the end of the match, the Chileans decided to teach their opponents a lesson and surged forward. In the 77th minute, Marcelino Ignacio Nunez sent the ball into the lower left corner of the goal from the penalty area, making the score 2:1. In the 85th minute, Alexis Sanchez performed a great solo run and cleverly outplayed the opponent's goalkeeper Carlos Lampe. Bolivia, facing such a tough situation, did not give up and scored a goal just 3 minutes later. Marcelo Moreno scored with a header after a cross from the corner. Ultimately, Bolivia's efforts were not enough, and they had to acknowledge a painful defeat. After these qualifying matches, Chile temporarily rises to fifth place in the group, while Bolivia has to settle for eighth place.
