After the summer tour in the United States, two "Arsenal" footballers returned to London on Thursday evening to fight for their lives.
Foreign media reports that two armed individuals tried to break into Mesut Ozil's driven "Mercedes" SUV, in which his teammate Sead Kolasinac was also traveling.
One of the cameras on the street filmed S. Kolasinac getting out of the car and grappling with a knife-wielding individual. Both attackers, riding motorcycles, were wearing helmets.
The video footage also shows M. Ozil remaining in the car and trying to drive forward, but shortly after, when another attacker on a motorcycle pulls him off, he also jumps out of his SUV and starts running.
One of the Arsenal representatives confirmed to "Daily Mail" journalists that both footballers are currently safe and unharmed.
One witness told the publication: "It was something crazy and very strange. His (Ozil's) car with the doors open was standing completely empty in the middle of the road.
Ozil looked completely bewildered, like a man being chased by knife-wielding attackers. It looked like he was fighting for his life. It seemed like that's what he had to do.
I saw him and the guys on the motorcycles disappearing into a restaurant. They didn't take off their helmets, but you could see that they were black and dressed in long clothes, even though it was hot at the time."
Unconfirmed reports suggest that Ozil's wife was also traveling with the footballers.
