Incredible Martuni's story: orphaned boy becomes a football player and friend of C.Ronaldo (VIDEO)

In 2004, an earthquake and tsunami took Martun's family when he was just seven years old, but it left him with hope. Today, Martun is already a member of Lisbon's "Sporting" football club and is ready to follow in Cristiano Ronaldo's footsteps.

The boy was found on the beach after the tsunami, 21 days later. Martun returned from football training when the tsunami struck, taking the lives of his mother and sisters. He managed to survive.

He wandered the beach for more than two weeks among the bodies and debris. He no longer had food or water when locals found him and showed him to a "Sky News" journalist.

Then his story circled the world, and Martun was captured with his favorite imitation shirts of Portugal's national team player Rui Costa.

Portugal's federation was moved by his story and donated 40,000 euros for Martun to have a new home.

In 2005, they invited the boy to Portugal. Ten years later, this week, Martun was revealed as the newest acquisition of Lisbon's "Sporting" club.

They signed a contract with the 17-year-old Martun, who will currently play in the U-19 club team.

His dream is to become a footballer like Cristiano Ronaldo, who visited him in Indonesia more than once.
