Ingenuity of the South Korean league: instead of spectators in the stands - sex dolls © Stop kadras

Long-awaited return of football to the stadiums has already begun, and some clubs are trying to creatively fill empty stands. Usually teams use cardboard cutouts of fans, but one South Korean club went a bit too far. BBC reports that the "FC Seoul" team had to apologize after viewers spotted sex dolls arranged in the stands during televised broadcasts. Initially, the club tried to justify that the fans saw high-quality mannequins, but eventually admitted that they purchased them from a sex doll manufacturer. "The mannequins looked very 'human' and did not even occur to us that they were sex toys," explained the club's director Lee Ji-hoon. Later it was revealed that some of these dolls had forbidden advertisements on them, as they held banners referring to adult websites. BBC reports that during Sunday's home match of "FC Seoul," 30 mannequins were seated in the stands - 28 female and 2 male. "The advertisements were supposed to be removed before the match, but some logos remained and it was those that the opposing teams saw while watching the match," commented representatives of the sex doll manufacturing company on the embarrassing incident.
