Over the weekend, a injury suffered in the "Serie A" championship match against "Palermo" could force Milan's "Inter" captain Javier Zanetti to hang up his football boots.

In the 0-1 defeat, J. Zanetti tore his left Achilles tendon. Because of this, the player will be out for at least six months, but already the Italian media is speculating that this could have been the last match for the "Inter" captain.

J. Zanetti himself understands his situation, but he stated that he still wants to play.

"After a career like mine, I would like to play at least one more match in front of my fans. Of course, I hope to play more," said the footballer who celebrated his 40th birthday in August.

The defender joined the "Inter" team in 1995. The Argentine player has played in more than 800 matches with the Italian club.
