Inspiring story of a Czech before the Champions League © AFP

This season, the Champions League has several inspiring stories, one of which is that of Czech Filip Panak.

The defender of Prague's "Sparta" spent more than 800 days in the hospital between 2018 and 2022 due to a knee injury.

The knee surgery was not entirely successful, leading to kidney and liver failure - Filip fought for his life.

However, everything eventually ended successfully. He even returned to professional football and did so very successfully.

In the first round of the Champions League, "Sparta" crushed "RB Salzburg" 3:0, and F. Panak was named the player of the match, receiving a symbolic prize. After that, the Prague team secured another draw and is currently among the teams that would qualify for the knockout stage, defying all pre-season predictions.

Never give up and pursue your goals.
