At 6 PM Lithuania time, an exceptional 12th round match took place in the English Premier League, where two North London teams clashed arms.
At the Emirates Stadium, the Arsenal and Tottenham footballers tested their strength against each other. In a fierce confrontation, neither team managed to secure a victory and a draw was recorded at 1-1.
The match started with active play from both teams. Arsene Wenger's disciples spent more time with the ball, but Spurs responded with dangerous counterattacks.
In the 32nd minute, the hosts were already punished when after a precise pass from Danny Rose, Harry Kane outran Petr Čech and put Tottenham in the lead.
In the second half, Arsenal lost two players due to injuries - Santi Cazorla and Mathieu Debuchy. However, this did not prevent the Gunners from creating dangerous opportunities and in the 77th minute, they scored the equalizing goal.
Just three minutes later, defender Kieran Gibbs scored a goal after a superb high pass from Mesut Özil to defeat Hugo Lloris. Olivier Giroud also had excellent heading opportunities in the remaining time, but the final result at the Emirates fortress was a 1-1 draw.
In the Premier League, there are still two leaders - Man City and Arsenal, both with 26 points. Tottenham, after the draw, also leveled in points with West Ham United.
