Milan's "Inter" will present an official offer to Madrid's "Atletico" coach Diego Simeone in the near future.
Sources from the football news portal Goal.com report that representatives of the "fashion capital" club have reached an agreement with the Argentine for a meeting, which will take place after the second leg of the "Nerazzurri" clash with Madrid's "Real" in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.
It is expected that "nerazzurri" will offer Simeone a three-year contract, under which he would earn around 6 million euros per season.
The 47-year-old specialist would start working with "Inter" this summer and would be almost entirely responsible for the club's transfer policy.
However, Simeone's current contract with "Atletico" is valid until 2018, and he has repeatedly stated that he will remain in Madrid at least until its end and will lead the team into the next season when they move to a new stadium.
On the other hand, if the "rojiblancos" finally manage to triumph in the Champions League, in that case, the Argentine would definitely see his work with this team as complete.
It is worth mentioning that Simeone has never hidden his desire to coach "Inter," which he represented as a football player in the past. In addition, the club's vice president Javier Zanetti is a close friend of his.
So, the fate of the coach remains uncertain for now, but will be decided in the near future.
