Milan's "Inter" won a crucial UEFA Champions League match without major problems.
In Group C, Simone Inzaghi's players at home defeated Plzen's "Viktoria" team 4:0 and secured a place in the knockout stage in the fifth round.
E. Dzeko scored two goals for the winners (42 and 66 min.), while H. Mkhitaryan (35 min.) and R. Lukaku (87 min.) also found the net.
The Italian victory dashed all hopes for Barcelona to advance further - the Catalans will continue their battles in the Europa League tournament.
In the next match in Group B, "Porto" on the road crushed the previously solid "Brugge" team 4:0.
