Milan's defender Cristian Chivu apologized for hitting "Bari" footballer Marco Rossi.
Cameras captured the Romanian punching his opponent, but the referee did not see this episode and did not punish the offender.
"It's hard to explain what I did," Chivu said on "Sky Italia." "With all the dignity that remains in me, I want to apologize to Rossi, as well as to everyone, especially my children, who will one day see what I did."
Inter's coach Leonardo also did not stand aside, stating: "I will talk to Cristian about this. This kind of behavior is unacceptable."
There is no doubt that Chivu will face sanctions and will be disqualified using the video recording.
