"Inter" sports director Piero Ausilio revealed that at the end of the season he plans to offer a new contract to captain Mauro Icardi.
Lately, the sniper has been linked to a transfer to one of Europe's top clubs, as he has been playing exceptionally well this season.
Last night, the 25-year-old Argentine once again proved his worth by scoring two goals in a match against Verona's "Hellas".
"There are no numbers and there have been no meetings - there is only the desire and pleasure to move forward together," Ausilio told "Mediaset Premium". "We will talk about it at the end of the season."
"There are no problems because there are still three years left on his contract, which is the most important thing. Icardi is important to the club and he knows that."
"Since arriving at 'Inter', he has already extended his contract three times. We would be happy to keep him for many more years."
Throughout this season, Icardi scored 24 goals and provided one assist in over 25 matches.
