Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti confirmed that Samuel Eto'o will soon leave the club, but Wesley Sneijder will not be sold.
The Italian media is buzzing with rumors that Eto'o will move to "Anzhi" in Makhachkala this week for 30 million euros.
Moratti, in an interview with "Gazzetta dello Sport," did not deny this: "When Eto'o leaves, we will miss him greatly, both as a player and as a person. He is a top-level player who has been able to carry the whole team through difficult times.
Samuel is leaving because of the new UEFA financial rules. In addition, the offer we received is impossible to refuse."
When asked who will replace the main striker in the team, the "Inter" manager stated: "I don't think we will be able to acquire Carlos Tevez. Diego Forlan, Ezequiel Lavezzi? We are closely monitoring these players, analyzing the situation. Giuseppe Rossi? No, we are looking for a different player."
Moratti also assured that midfielder Wesley Sneijder, who has been a target for "Man Utd" all summer, will remain at the club.
"There have never been any negotiations for Sneijder," he said. "If Eto'o leaves, Wesley will definitely stay. He was untouchable even before the situation with Samuel, and now there can be no talk about it."
