On July 1, defender Diego Godin, who officially became a member of Milan's "Inter", spoke about his motives for choosing the team.
As the 33-year-old Uruguayan stated, he wants to help the team break the streak of victories - the last trophies Italians won in 2011 when they triumphed in the Italian Cup tournament.
"I came here to help the team win, and to achieve this goal, I will dedicate my whole soul and myself both on the pitch and beyond its borders.
This is a new challenge and a new experience. "Inter" is a great club, one of the best in all of Europe.
The Milan team is ambitious and eager to achieve important goals," clarified D. Godin.
The veteran signed a three-year contract with the "Inter" team.
