Italian champions Milan from Turin have acquired French national team midfielder Patrick Vieira for almost 10 million euros.
The 30-year-old player decided on Wednesday morning to move to Inter, although he was considering the possibility of transferring to Manchester United yesterday. Inter will have to pay around 10 million euros for the Frenchman over three years.
Vieira is the fifth player to leave Juventus, who were involved in a corruption scandal and relegated to the lower Italian league Serie B.
Because of this, this summer Juventus have already seen the departure of Brazilian goalkeeper Emerson and Italian national team captain defender Fabio Cannavaro, who moved to Real Madrid, as well as Lilian Thuram and Gianluca Zambrotta, who joined Barcelona, the strongest team in Europe.
In July 2005, Juventus acquired a player from Arsenal in London for more than 20 million euros.
