On Sunday, eight Italian championship matches were played.
Another failure was experienced by Milan Inter players in Bergamo against the local Atalanta. Here they were forced to chase opponents from the very beginning, as Andrea Masiello scored in the 10th minute. Eder equalized the score at the beginning of the second half, but as the match approached the end, Mauricio Pinilla successfully converted a penalty kick.
The fourth defeat for nerazzurri means that they have dropped to thirteenth place.
In another match, last season's vice-champion Napoli struggled against the bottom-placed Crotone. Although Jose Callejon scored a goal in the 17th minute, Manolo Gabbiadini was sent off for unsporting behavior after playing half an hour.
It would have been very difficult for Maurizio Sarri's team, but after a few minutes, Nikola Maksimovic managed to score for them. Later, Crotone tried to at least extend the lead, but they only managed to score one goal at the end of the match.
Another intriguing clash took place between Cagliari and Fiorentina. Viola triumphed with a 5-3 result, with Nikola Kalinic scoring a hat-trick and Federico Bernardeschi adding a brace.
Finally, in the evening match, Roma achieved a convincing victory against Palermo. Giallorossi, currently in second place, saw goals from Mohamed Salah, Leandro Paredes, Edin Dzeko, and Stephan El Shaarawy. They are now only two points behind Juventus from Turin.
