On Sunday, the remaining 13 round matches were played in the Italian championship. "Inter" secured a very important victory against "Palermo," "Roma" convincingly defeated the "Sampdoria" team, "Empoli" and "Catania," "Torino" and "Lazio" also celebrated victories, while "Fiorentina" and "Livorno" had to settle for a draw.

In the duel of Serie A leaders, "Inter" managed to defeat "Palermo" with a score of 2-1 away from home and distance themselves from this club by six points.

In the 7th minute, the Italian champions took the lead. Zlatan Ibrahimović sent a long-range shot into the opponents' goal and the opposing goalkeeper Alberto Fontana failed to catch the ball, making the score 1-0. However, to the joy of the home fans gathered in the large stadium, the hosts managed to equalize just before halftime, when Brazilian Amauri scored.

The second half started negatively for both teams, as both goal scorers Z. Ibrahimović and Amauri suffered injuries. However, this did not deter the "Inter" club and during a corner kick, Marco Materazzi's header struck the crossbar, and in the 61st minute, Patrick Vieira, receiving a pass from Adriano, managed to once again take the visitors into the lead with a powerful shot.

The visitors continued to dictate the pace of the game, but "Palermo" still had a chance to equalize in the 85th minute, however, Andrea Caracciolo's header hit the crossbar of the goal, so "Inter" celebrated an important victory.

Francesco Totti led "Roma" to a 4-2 victory away from home against the unstable "Sampdoria" team this season.

In the 13th minute of the match, F. Totti, receiving the ball from his teammate Daniele De Rossi, sent the ball into the opponents' goal. However, the players of the Roma club did not enjoy this lead for long, as just a minute later, at the other end of the field, the "Sampdoria" captain Sergio Volpi equalized the score with a shot into the corner of the goal.

However, "Roma" once again took the lead in the 33rd minute after a powerful shot with his right foot from Simone Perrotta. Meanwhile, defender Christian Panucci scored the third goal for the capital city team in the 11th minute, thus scoring for the third time in two matches.

"Roma" finally put an end to their opponents in the 74th minute, when the team captain F. Totti struck the ball perfectly despite the oncoming ball and it found the back of the net. The Genoa club was still able to reduce the difference, as just before the end of the match, the referee awarded a penalty to the "Roma" club. Francesco Flachi successfully converted it.

The other capital club "Lazio" managed to defeat the league underdog "Ascoli" 3-1 at home.

In the 8th minute, Stefano Mauri struck the ball into the opponents' goal and the opponent's goalkeeper Gianluca Pagliuca knocked the ball directly to "Lazio" defender Manuel Belleri, who sent the hosts into the lead. However, the visitors managed to equalize after seven minutes, when "Lazio" defender S. Mauri sent the ball into his own goal.

However, after just over ten minutes, "Lazio" was able to restore their lead. Macedonian Goran Pandev broke through two defenders and accurately shot the ball into the goal. The hosts solidified their victory in the 84th minute, when Pasquale Foggia scored a goal.

"Fiorentina" once again failed to secure a victory. This time, the Florence club played a 1-1 draw away from home against the "Siena" team. The hosts took the lead with a goal from Luca Antonini in the 18th minute, but Romanian Adrian Mutu equalized the score after twenty minutes.

Tomas Danilevičius' "Livorno" squandered a two-goal advantage and played a 2-2 draw away from home against "Reggina." The visitors took the lead 2-0 after the first half, but the second half on the field was completely different and "Reggina" managed to snatch a point. The Lithuanian appeared on the field in the 73rd minute, replacing his teammate Ibrahim Bakayoko.

"Torino" managed to secure their second consecutive victory after a poor start to the season, defeating "Atalanta" 2-1 away from home. The Turin club took the lead in odd circumstances. In the 78th minute, the ball bounced off Atalanta defender Claudio Rivalta's face and into the hosts' goal. Just ten minutes later, "Torino" sealed their victory, but the hosts managed to reduce the lead just before the end of the match.

"Catania" managed to redeem themselves after a humiliating 7-0 defeat to "Roma" in the previous round, defeating the "Parma" team 2-0 at home. The visitors were reduced to ten men in the 38th minute when Vincenzo Grella received a red card, and the "Catania" players took advantage of this in the second half by scoring two goals.

"Empoli" climbed to fifth place in the league table by defeating the "Cagliari" team 1-0 at home. The home team secured the victory with a penalty scored by Ighli Vannucchi in the 9th minute.
