On Saturday, two matches were played in the Italian league. The championship leaders "Inter" defeated the club "Torino" away, while "Empoli" convincingly beat the "Parma" team at home.
"Inter" achieved a new "Serie A" record - the club won twelve consecutive matches in the Italian league. This was achieved by the Milan club by defeating "Torino" 3-1 away.
It was not the only good news for "Inter" fans. In this match, the Brazilian Adriano once again stood out, scoring a goal in his third consecutive match. He scored the first goal in the 24th minute when his compatriot Maicon passed the ball into the penalty area and Adriano headed it in.
However, "Torino" managed to equalize. In the 59th minute, Stefano Fiore's shot deflected off "Inter" defender Marco Materazzi's leg and changed direction, ending up in the goal and leaving the visiting goalkeeper Julio Cesar helpless. But before the "Torino" players could celebrate, the Milan team once again surged forward. Just 30 seconds after the hosts' goal, Zlatan Ibrahimovic struck with a great shot to defeat the opponents' goalkeeper and restore his team's advantage.
In the 84th minute, Adriano found himself one on one with the opponents' goalkeeper Christian Abbiati, who took down the Brazilian after missing the ball, knocking him over. The referee immediately sent off the Italian from the field and awarded a penalty kick to the hosts, which was successfully converted by Marco Materazzi.
In the other match, "Empoli" defeated "Parma" 2-0 at home, with the latter finishing the game with ten men due to a red card for Ferdinando Coly.
The hosts took the lead with Andrea Raggi's goal in the 27th minute. For the Italian, this was his first goal in the "Serie A" league. "Empoli" secured the victory in the 76th minute with Davide Matteini's goal, just minutes after stepping onto the field.
