One of the leading faces of the Super League project, Andrea Agnelli, together with his "Juventus" club, has been plunging into the mud of the Champions League for five consecutive years.
Over the past five years, the following clubs have eliminated the "old lady" from the Champions League: "Ajax", "Lyon", "Porto", "Villarreal", and "Benfica".
All of these five clubs were not included in the initial Super League project.
Meanwhile, led by A. Agnelli, "Juventus" were one of the authors of the idea. Even now, it is rumored in football circles that the Turin club would still be interested in continuing the project.
Masimilliano Allegri's students will miss the Champions League knockout stages for the first time since 2014.
