On Sunday, after the scandalous behavior of ultras marked and interrupted the match between "Lech" and "Legia" clubs, the latter clinched the title of Polish champions.
In this match, "Legia" had to earn three points in the opponents' field in order to secure the gold medal of the national championship before the final round. The guests scored first, and after their second goal in the 77th minute, unpleasant incidents occurred, after which the match was interrupted.
The match was halted when "Lech" fans started throwing flares onto the field, and a few minutes later the supporters of both teams invaded the pitch. Police officers reacted to this by sending in their units, and after such events the match referee called off the game.
Immediately after the match, it was decided that "Lech" would no longer receive a chance to save themselves in the remaining 13 minutes - a technical defeat of 0:3 was awarded to this team. Immediately after this decision, the team leaders confirmed that they would not appeal, meaning that the title of national champions was won by the "Legia" team.
After these matches, it became clear that the team represented by Arvydas Novikovas, "Jagiellonia," had once again won the silver medals of the Polish championship for the second year in a row.
