Over the weekend, another round of the Lithuanian senior (50+) futsal championship was played.
After this round, the sole leader status was lost by the seniors from Alytus "Dainava." After winning two games in the first round, the Alytus team ended up without victories.
Both matches played by Dainava ended in draws - in the first match there were no goals scored against Šiauliai VFK team, and later they drew 2:2 against Panevėžys "Ekranas seniors."
It was precisely the Šiauliai footballers who surpassed the former leaders in points - in the second match they narrowly defeated Visaginas "Inter Veterans" by 1:0, now both teams have 8 points.
Sharing the third and fourth places, only a few points behind the leaders, are Jonava FVL Klevas (3 points won over the weekend) and Kaunas "Phoenix" (also 3 points won over the weekend).
After this weekend, the only team that still has not opened their points account is "Skaistgirys-Žvelgaitis," who lost both of their matches on Saturday.
The next round of the championship is scheduled for February 18.
