"Intrigue returns to the Premier League: "Man Utd" defeats "Chelsea" at home (VIDEO)"

At 6 PM Lithuanian time, the ninth match of the 33rd round of the English "Premier" league took place.

"Manchester United" hosted the league leaders, London's "Chelsea," at home. Jose Mourinho's team finally managed to break the streak of draws and defeated the "blues" at home with a score of 2-0.

In the 7th minute of the match, the first goal was scored. After a wonderful pass from Ander Herrera, Marcus Rashford broke away and, one-on-one with the goalkeeper, put the hosts ahead with a precise shot. However, the goal could have been disallowed as the ball hit Herrera's hand during the pass.

After quickly conceding a goal, "Chelsea" did not react to the situation - and continued to play passively. Although "Man Utd" did not have many chances, they dominated possession and completely dictated the rules of the game.

The second half started well for the hosts again - in the 49th minute, A. Herrera's powerful shot, which deflected off Kurt Zouma's leg, sent the ball into Asmir Begovic's goal.

"Chelsea" had no way to come back, and in order to fight for a draw, they needed at least two goals. Antonio Conte's players were very passive and did not create any dangerous opportunities throughout the match.

These were one of those games that David De Gea enjoyed - "Chelsea" attempted five shots, but none of them reached the goal.

"Man Utd" ended a series of three draw games in a row at the "Old Trafford" stadium and celebrated a confident victory. With 60 points on their account, the "Red Devils" maintain a four-point gap from the fourth place.

Meanwhile, the defeat for "Chelsea" brought some intrigue back to the English championship. The "blues" are still in first place, but their lead over London's "Tottenham" has narrowed to 4 points.

Result:

"Man Utd" 2 - 0 "Chelsea" 7' [1 - 0] M. Rashford 49' [2 - 0] A. Herrera
