On Wednesday evening in Spain there was a real football treat - in the first leg of the King's Cup tournament semi-final match, "Barcelona" clashed with the Madrid team "Real" at the crowded "Camp Nou" stadium.
Neither team showed superiority in the full-time - in the second half, the rising "Barca" reached a draw of 1:1 and transferred all the intrigue to the second-leg match.
The match started with an aggressive game by the guests from Madrid. Trusting themselves on their opponents' field, the "whites" were soon rewarded for their work - in the 6th minute, "Camp Nou" was saddened by their biggest opponent's goal.
Debuting in the "El Clasico" duel, 18-year-old Vinicius Junior made a pass into the penalty area, Karim Benzema successfully intercepted it, passed it to Lucas Vazquez standing in front of the goal, and from a distance from the opponent, overwhelmed the hosts' goal.
After conceding a goal, "Barcelona" took control of the match for a while and dominated the field. The duo of Malcom and Nelson Semedo caused a lot of problems for the guests, especially Marcelo.
"Barca" hit the goal construction after a standard situation in the first half, but went into the break trailing by a goal.
In the second half, "Barca" showed more desire in attack and delighted their fans in the 57th minute. The first shot by Luis Suarez was pulled out from the goal line by Sergio Ramos, but the ball comfortably flew towards Malcom's feet in the penalty area, and he reached his goal with a powerful shot.
Both teams had opportunities to score during the remaining time of the match. Gareth Bale, who appeared after a substitution, had a great chance to score when Ter Stegen ran out of the goal and left the defenders to guard, but the "Real" star delayed his shot and eventually the ball was blocked by N. Semedo.
The teams parted ways with a tie, leaving a question mark on the King's Cup finalist. The second leg match will take place in Madrid on February 27.
