The World Cup vice-champion assured that he did indeed receive an invitation to move to Paris, but immediately rejected it. "I consulted with my wife, listened to my heart and realized that I am very privileged to wear the 'Barcelona' jersey. Defending these colors is the greatest honor, and there is no other team in the world that could give me more, unless it would be money. My older child has been attending school here for two years and has quite a few friends. The younger child is getting ready to start attending preschool. So, we are very happy here and it was very easy to make the decision. I am proud that I will be able to continue my career in the 'Barcelona' team," Rakitić said.
