"Sampdoria" team president Massimo Ferrero announced that he sold the team's midfielder Lucas Torreira.
The Italian claims that the 22-year-old Uruguayan will leave for the "Premier" league for 30 million euros.
It was previously reported that London's "Arsenal" team was very interested in the player's services.
"Sampdoria" does not sell their players until they receive excellent offers.
"We don't actively seek buyers for our players and we are a stepping stone in their careers.
"I bought Torreira from the "Pescara" club for 3 million euros and nobody believed in him," said Ferrero.
The Uruguayan has already appeared in this World Cup, playing against Egypt.
