Is Pedro already regretting leaving "Barcelona"?

Former "Barcelona" star Pedro, according to press reports, regrets leaving his former team this summer and moving to "Chelsea". Journalists claim that the player would like to return to Catalonia.

Both Pedro, who stated that the reason he left "Barca" was a lack of playing time, and "Chelsea" have not shown good form at the beginning of the season.

According to the Spanish website Fichanes, Pedro confessed to his current teammate Cesc Fabregas that he regrets leaving the "Barcelona" club this summer.

"Chelsea" acquired the forward in August for a sum of 21 million pounds. In the first games of the season, the player scored a goal and played a key role in the club's 3-2 victory against "West Bromwich". However, after these matches, the form of the 28-year-old player declined, and Jose Mourinho's team suffered five defeats in ten "Premier" league rounds.

Meanwhile, it is not surprising that "Barcelona" is currently competing for the "La Liga" title and sharing the 1st and 2nd places with Madrid's "Real" team. Ironically, if Pedro had stayed in Spain, he would have had many more opportunities in the "Barcelona" team this season than in previous seasons, and the reasons that led the Spaniard to leave the team would have disappeared. Luis Enrique's team is currently facing a shortage of attacking players due to long-term injuries of Lionel Messi and Rafinha.

"Chelsea" has recently been struggling with their expensive acquisitions. Left-back Filipe Luis returned to Madrid's "Atletico" after just one season in London, and Juan Cuadrado, who cost 23.3 million pounds in February, was sent on loan to "Juventus" in August, after failing to establish himself in the main "blues" lineup.

Pedro may be another unsuccessful purchase, but it is too early to draw conclusions just a few months after the acquisition of the forward. Both the player and the club have enough talent to turn the season in the right direction, and the mood of the Spanish national team player would definitely improve if the footballer and his team started to show better performance.
